Global Collaboration Drives Innovation Against Cancer

JOIN US FOR OUR 2026 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

OUR MISSION

To foster global trans-disciplinary collaborations through education, research, treatment and community outreach to overcome cancer.

We empower professional partnerships that enhance cancer care and provide mentored training of the next generation of scientists and clinicians.

Global Cancer Consortium and Global Cancer Consortia

HOW WE STARTED

In 2020 …

Markey Cancer Center - Lexington, Kentucky, USA
formed the Global Cancer Consortium (GCC) with:

→ Tata Memorial Centre - Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
→ Manipal Academy of Higher Education - Manipal, Karnataka, India
→ Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre and Research Institute - Kolkata, West Bengal, India
→ Mayo Clinic Cancer Center - Rochester, Jacksonville and Scottsdale, USA

International Chapters

The growing number of academic activities of the Global Cancer Consortium required decentralization by forming Chapters in various continents.

The Chapters are financially autonomous, but philosophically aligned and operationally synchronized with one another and with the parent GCC.

The GCC Chapters further promote and nurture the cancer research, education and training programs of GCC.

The Chapters abide by the overarching principles of philanthropy, excellence and collaboration.

Consistent with this mandate, the following GCC Chapters were formed:

→ April 2023 - South Asia Chapter established in India

→ September 2023 - North America Chapter formed in the United States

→ January 2024 - East Asia Chapter formed and is led by the China Medical University, Taiwan.

→ April 2024 - Europe Chapter formed

→ April 2025 - West and South Africa Chapter formed

Cancer Biology & Therapy Course

This comprehensive biology and therapy of cancer course includes lectures on the fundamental mechanisms of cancer development and key features of cancer therapies.

The lectures are presented by basic/translational science and clinical faculty.

Microbiology of Cancer Course

A Graduate Level Certification Training Program

The objective is to deliver a microbial perspective of cancer.

By delving into the pathogenesis and epidemiology of cancers associated with microorganisms, molecular biology of the infective agents, screening tools and procedures, prevention and therapeutic approaches in clinical oncology involving both conventional and experimental strategies to treat these tumors.

There will be discussions of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) tools and models that are integral for connecting the microbiome with cancer onset, progression, and treatment response.
